Privacy
This website is deliberately simple: plain HTML pages, no database, no comments, no cookies, no tracking, no ad networks, no third-party fonts or scripts. The audio files of the episodes are also served from our own server. The only exception are the VG Wort counting pixels (see below).

Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, requested file, referrer, browser) in log files to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after a short period. A data processing agreement with IONOS is in place.
Podcast player
Episodes are played by your browser’s built-in audio player straight from our server; the file only loads once you press play. No data is passed to third parties.
External podcast platforms
Below each episode we link to the same episode on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and podcast.de. These are plain links: the platform only opens when you click one, and its own privacy policy applies there. Nothing is transmitted beforehand.
Light/dark mode
If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser stores this choice locally (localStorage). It never leaves your device.
VG Wort counting pixels
Articles contain a counting pixel of VG Wort (Untere Weidenstraße 5, 81543 Munich, Germany), an invisible image loaded from VG Wort servers to measure access for statutory author remuneration. Your IP address is transmitted and processed in shortened form only; no cookies are set. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Contact form
The form on the editorial page sends your name, email, topic and message encrypted to an automation service (n8n Cloud, n8n GmbH, Berlin), which creates an email to the editors and a confirmation to you, sent via Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Berlin). Both act as processors; form data is not stored permanently. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR) and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
